Program Overview

Cyber security is the body of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. In a computing context, security includes both cyber security and physical security. This programme is specially designed by the domain experts to bridge the gap between Academia and the Industry. The programme specifically helps the students to attain a better understanding of Cyber Security as a subject as well as the need/demand of the corporate world. It is well understood that cyberspace or the digital world has overshadowed the concepts of information technologies as depicted in the late 20th century.

The everchanging and evolving nature of technologies left none sector untouched and therefore to keep up with the pace of changing technology one needed to be UPGRADED with advanced and refined skills in the domain.

This programme will provide students with a better understanding of the Concepts of cyber security vis-à-vis the practical application of the knowledge so acquired. The conceptual knowledge of the domain experts with the exposure to practical implementation of the actual project would enhance the skills of the students. Accordingly, providing a better platform to seek a prosperous career in the field of cyber security.

The main highlights of the programme is that it covers concepts of network security and their actual implementation in the real-life scenarios. During this programme, students learn to secure IT infrastructure of an organization or may design a well secure IT Architecture, how to seek vulnerabilities in the networks and how to exploit or avert such exploits to prevent an organization from any cyber breaches.

The hands-on experience on the technological aspects of Cyber Forensics will allow the students to strengthen and master their skills. The goal of computer forensics is to perform a structured investigation while maintaining a documented chain of evidence to find out exactly what happened on a computing device and who was responsible for it. Computer forensics is the application of investigation and analysis techniques to gather and preserve evidence from a particular computing device in a way that is suitable for presentation in a court of law.

This programme also provides advanced training in Malware Analysis & Reverse Engineering. The program explores malware analysis tools and techniques that help IT admins, security analysts and other such professionals acquire the practical skills to examine malicious programs that target and infect computer systems. The program provides a deep understanding of malware capabilities that can help individuals and businesses develop threat intelligence, respond to security incidents, and defend future threats.

The expertise in the domain of network security, Cyber Forensics, Malware Analysis & Reverse Engineering and concepts of Cyber law will enable students to choose and explore future avenues as per their interest and newly developed skills in the Domain.
